I had the chance yesterday to participate in a webinar hosted by Preservica and it was a rewarding experience. Preservica used the Digital Preservation Capability Maturity Model to assess their digital preservation system and then published the results in an essential guide entitled "Achieving a Step Change in Digital Preservation Capability" which is available along with other resources on their website at www.preservica.com.
Preservica's interest and the flurry of registrations to the self-assessment survey that followed the webinar has been a welcome validation for Charles Dollar and me that DPCMM has value to practitioners. We are currently working on some updates to the model and hope to release a new white paper by the end of April. Stay tuned!
